It's important to know your cell phone account balance, in order to avoid late payments and overages. While you can call your mobile carrier's customer service department or use the online account portal to check your balance, those methods are not always convenient. As a courtesy to customers, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile make it easy to check your account balance directly from your cell phone.

Dial 225# from your cell phone if you are using AT&T. Your bill balance will be sent to your phone as a text message. To check minutes balance, dial 646#. You will receive a text message displaying your minutes balance.
