Requesting to stop payment on a check requires contacting your banking institution. For those that bank with Citibank you can request a stop payment on a check by calling the bank or visiting your bank in person. Citibank offers customers the convenience of Citiphone banking, which means you can handle virtually any aspect of your banking needs over the phone. This is helpful when you're in a hurry, not at home or not at your bank location.
