Stock Owners Benefits for Carnival Cruise Lines

Shareholders of Carnival Corp. stock receive an added benefit of onboard credit when they take a cruise aboard select Carnival cruise lines. Carnival is the largest cruise line in the world and offers a wide range of locations and ships. The benefit is available to investors who own at least 100 shares of Carnival stock. Requests must be made at least two weeks before departure through the cruise line or the travel agent. The request must include the cruise information and proof of share ownership such as a share proxy card or brokerage statement.


North American Brands

Carnival provides the shareholder benefit of an onboard monetary credit on cruises taken with the company's North American cruise lines. The credit amount is $50 for cruises of six days or less, $100 for cruises of seven to 13 days and $250 on cruises greater than 13 days. The credit can be used to pay for added charges such as drinks, upscale restaurants and spa treatments. The North American cruise brands are Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, The Yachts of Seaborn, Cunard Line and Costa Cruises.

Continental European Brands

The cruise brands owned by Carnival that travel from and around continental Europe give shareholders a credit in euros. The credit amount is 40 euros for cruises of six days or less, 75 euros for cruises of seven to 13 days and 200 euros on cruises of 14 days or more. Lines include Costa Cruises, Aida Cruises and Ibero Cruises. The credit on a Costa Cruise, which is also listed in the North American brands, depends on the departure location of the individual cruise.


United Kingdom Brands

British pounds are awarded on cruises originating out of the United Kingdom. The Carnival brands that provide UK cruises are P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess. The credit amounts are 25 pounds for six days or less cruises, 50 pounds for cruises of seven to 13 days and 125 pounds for cruises longer than 13 days.


Australian Brands

Princess and P&O Cruises originating in Australia provide the onboard credit for shareholders in Australian dollars. The cruise lengths are the same for the different levels and the credit amounts are 50, 100 and 250 Australian dollars, respectively.
