Lisa Rinna Spent How Much on a BBQ?

This week was all about the party and all about the drama. Inter-personal drama can have a high social cost— Eden, we're looking at you— but we're more interested in how much the Housewives spent on those extravagant, and extravagantly low key, parties.

Our Process: We tuned in to see just how much the ladies are spending. In order to calculate, we focused on money spent in the episode. Clothing, cars, houses, etc are not calculated unless the women make the purchase on screen each week. If the women go out to dinner, we will attribute the cost to whichever housewife is given credit for the scene, as designated by the "title" before the scene.

At the end of the episode, we'll tally it up to see who forked over the most dough (and who is in the lead for the season).

Kyle planning the white party

Psych. Kyle is over The White Party. This year is all about The Great Gatsby, and also Kyle wanted to showcase one of Maurizio's properties. We see Kyle walking the property with the party planner as the crew sets up, worrying if it will be too cold with the forecast in the mid-sixties. California, you have the best problems.

Party Planner: $3,000 ($75/hr, 40 hours)

Crew of 5 setting up for a full day: $600 ($15/hr each for 8 hours)

Total: $3,600

Lisa Rinna

This week was great for Liza Rinna because she got to show off Harry Hamlin on camera. Seriously, we think it was the highlight of her month to have the other women facetiously covet her husband. There is nothing she loves more… except maybe ruining Kim Richards life.

This party fell in the extravagantly down-to-earth category. The drama fell in the hand-banging category. Why can't they leave Kim alone? She's not even in the cast.

Harry's pie supplies: $35

Outdoor dining table rental: $500

Flowers: $150

Harry's meat: $150

Private bartender: $400 (2 bartenders at $50/hr each, 4 hours)

Bar: $200

Total: $1,435

Working out with Dorit and PK’s assistant

Dorit's most likeable moment all season happened when she was working out, which makes us think that maybe she should work out all the time. She and PK's assistant work out with a private trainer in the backyard. Sign us up!

Private Trainer at Home: $300

Total: $300

Erika Jayne auditions for The Young and The Restless

Erika Jayne

Eileen's gift to Erika for her birthday was a guest spot on The Young and The Restless. It cost Eileen nothing, but it's an experience that you can't buy.

Total: Priceless

The Gatsby party costumes

The cast

We're making an exception this week and putting a blanket charge for each of the women. Each of them went so all out with their costumes that there's no way they spent less than $300 each— even Eileen, who snagged most of her costume from The Young and The Restless costume department.

Total: $300/each

The Gatsby party

The champagne and absinthe were flowing in true Gatsby fashion, and the women chose this moment to throw down. Kyle knows how to throw a killer party, with valet service, heavy pours, and mad decorations.

Bar: $1,000

Private bartender: $600 (2 bartenders at $50/hr each, 6 hours)

Four valet attendants: $240 ($10/hour each, 6 hours)

Table and chair rentals: $1,200

Heaters rental: $300

Snacks: $800

DJ: $300/night

Total: $4,440

Kyle: $8,340

Lisa Rinna: $1,735

Dorit: $600

LVP: $300
