Qualifying for and landing a fellowship in the field you hope to work in is a task in and of itself. Listing that fellowship on your resume can be confusing and stressful if you don't know how to do it correctly. Fellowships can offer a great deal of experience in your chosen field, and highlighting that experience on your resume can help you land a great job. Highlighting the most important experience points is a great way to show potential employers what you gained from your fellowship.

Step 1

List the title of the fellowship. Include who the fellowship was with if the title does not state it obviously.

Step 2

List the dates of the fellowship underneath the name. The month and year will suffice unless the fellowship lasted less than a couple months. If it was a short fellowship you should list the exact dates of the fellowship.

Step 3

Write a description of the fellowship to include some of the most important experiences or work you did while on the fellowship. The description should be between two and three sentences long.

Step 4

Include a contact name and number for the fellowship. Inquire about a reference or contact person before leaving the fellowship.
