Purchasing bakery-style fresh bread is a great way to boost any meal. If the bread sits for a few days, however, it might be tempting to throw it away. A hard texture might be unappetizing, but there's no need to spend money on a fresh loaf. You can add seasoning to the bread and make it into a side dish. You can also freshen the stale bread by using water and heat to soften the inside of the loaf.
Preheat oven to 370 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rub the bread crust with an ice cube until it's moist. Alternatively, you can sprinkle water all over the crust.
Place the bread in the oven.
Bake the bread for about 10 minutes, or until the crust is crispy. Alternatively, you can wrap the bread in foil before baking and bake for about five minutes.
Preheat oven to 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut bread into cubes. Put aside.
Melt enough butter to coat your bread cubes. Add seasonings to taste, such as basil and garlic.
Remove butter mixture from heat and toss bread cubes in the mixture to coat.
Spread the cubes on a baking sheet and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake the bread cubes in the oven until crispy.
