A payment due date can be inconvenient for a number of reasons. Fortunately, many companies are open to changing the due date if you make a request. Whether you want the convenience of having all your bills due at once or you are overburdened by that very same proximity, changing the payment due date can alleviate your worries. The procedure is typically not overly sophisticated. You just have to start with a simple phone call.
Call your creditor. The number to call will be located on the back of your credit card, your statement or on the creditor's website. You will almost certainly get an automated message, unless you are dealing with a small financial institution. Listen carefully to the available options and choose appropriately. If a live person answers the phone, request to speak to someone who can assist you in changing your due date. Sometimes, you may be able to request the change and have it taken care of over the phone, but this is not always the case.

Write out a request to change the due date. This will vary based on the creditor, but you may be asked to make your request in writing along with an explanation as to what necessitates the change. The representative may have to fill out a form, too, which will be provided to you upon request.
Submit your request to the creditor. Depending on the company's procedures, you may have to submit it via standard mail or online. You will likely have a waiting period before hearing if you are approved for the change or not. You can always call to check the status of your request.
