Many people are wanting to go natural with beauty products. Some absolutely just do not like all the chemicals in their shampoo. This has given rise to a no-shampoo movement called "No Poo." Other people just like the way their hair feels without shampoo. If you are intrigued with the idea but do not understand how you can get clean hair without shampoo, it is actually so easy, you may already have the necessary ingredients on hand.

Step 1

Put two tablespoons of baking soda in a cup. Put 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in another cup. Take both cups into the shower with you.

Step 2

Wet your hair. Mix the baking soda with just enough water to form a thick paste. Rub the baking soda into your wet hair and massage throughout your scalp. Rinse.

Step 3

Mix the vinegar with about 1/2 cup of water. Pour over your hair and rinse. It will smell a bit like vinegar until it dries. Your hair is now perfectly clean without using chemicals.

Step 4

Hair will smell a bit like vinegar until dry. Hair is now perfectly clean without using chemicals.

Step 5

Allow your hair time to adjust to the new regimen. Many notice there is about a two-week adjustment period when going "no poo." Your hair may seem different or more oily during this time, but your hair and scalp will adjust to the new cleanser if you give it time.

Others feel the need to adjust the vinegar and use less or just use it every other day. Some prefer just using the vinegar on the ends of their hair, while others are happy with just using baking soda and no vinegar at all. Experiment to find which you like best.
