How to Calculate NHS Pension

Step

Open a web browser on your computer and go to the NHS online pension calculator tool (see References).

Step

Enter the age at which you intend to retire in the appropriate field. Enter both the years and months.

Step

Enter your current salary in the appropriate field.

Step

Enter the number of whole years of Pension Scheme membership in the appropriate field.

Step

Click the "Calculate" button to display your estimated annual pension and your lump sum retirement allowance.
