4 Ways I've Made Quick & Easy Money

Harsh truth: If you don't have enough money then you need to get more money. The best way to improve a bad financial situation is to find ways to earn more money on the side.

For example, let's say you need to pay down your debt, have already cut your expenses to the lowest you can go, and are throwing all that extra cash toward that debt. Let's also say that isn't enough to really make a dent in it. The natural solution then becomes finding ways of earning more money to throw toward that debt.

Fortunately, we're living in the age of the internet and the age of the side hustle, so making extra money is now easier than ever. Here are just some of the ways you can earn some extra cash and give your finances a boost. I've personally either tested or am currently testing all of these.

(Note: None of these will pay all of your bills, but they will allow you to make extra money in your spare time.)

1. Testing websites.

You can earn a little bit of extra cash by testing websites and giving your feedback as a user. I actually just started doing this a few weeks ago as a means of earning money that would go directly into my travel fund.

All you have to do is apply through a website like UserTesting.com and they'll start sending you websites you can test. Each website test usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes and you'll earn $10 for each. There are also much shorter five minute tests where you will earn $3. The payment is then sent to your PayPal account within seven days.

I've only been sent one test so far, but it's only been two weeks since I signed up. Either way, there are a few extra bucks in my travel fund.

2. Filling out surveys.

Another way to earn a little extra cash on the side is by filling out surveys through something like Ipsos i-Say or InboxDollars. I've actually made money through InboxDollars just for watching videos in my spare time. Additionally, Ipsos sends me more surveys than I can currently handle so there's plenty of opportunity to earn a little extra money.

3. Start an Etsy shop.

Starting an Etsy shop isn't as easy as filling out surveys or testing websites, but you'd be surprised at how quickly you can earn money. Last year, I started selling collectible gemstones on Etsy and they started selling in two days.

All I had to do was pick stones out of my collection that I no longer wanted, take pictures, and list them on Etsy with good descriptions.

4. Sell your used stuff online.

I have sold books and clothing I no longer wanted online and made a decent amount of money. Simply listing old books on Amazon made me about $150 after fees and I was able to make about $57 selling some brand name clothes to an online consignment shop. Not shabby for simply trying to declutter my closet.

These are just four ways that you can start making money on the side right now. There are plenty of other ways, but I have found some success with these methods. Like I said, they won't pay all of your bills, but they can give you a little boost in your spare time.
